I bought this frame new and built it up with the components that I felt would make the lightest and fastest 'cross bike under the $5,000 I had to spend.Every part on this bike was used for a reason. While I am running V-brakes, this frame also has disc brake mounts.Carbon for smooth ride quality but still a strong, stiff sprinter thanks in part to its BB90 bottom bracket.Easton EC70X tubular wheels--the most durable 1600-gram wheels ever. Indestructible and tubular for speed and comfort. I'm including a second set of these wheels with 28mm Challenge Roubaix street tires for training on the road or gravel.Challenge Grifo tubular tires--My favorite tubulars. I run them at 25 psi and they absorb bumps and roll over rough train faster than any clincher or tubeless tire could ever hope to.SRAM Rival 1X10 drivetrain--A 40-tooth single chainring up front and an 12-28 rear cassette for light weight, simplicity and durability. Includes a chain keeper and Salsa bash guard.TRP CX-9 direct-pull cyclocross V-brakes--I hated how poorly cantilevers worked but I didn't want the weight and bleeding hassle of discs. The TRP V-brakes are light like cantis and have incredibly strong power and modulation like discs.Easton EC-70 bars--Carbon, anatomic bars for vibration absorption and multiple, comfortable hand positions.TRP top-bar brake interrupters--When braking through technical sections or corners, having my hands on the hoods puts too much weight on the front wheel. I wanted to get more weight over the rear to keep the front end from washing out in technical sections. Having my hands on the tops did this.Extras--In addition to the extra set of wheels, I have a SRAM Force rear derailleur I'll throw in off one of my road bikes because the Rival derailleur has some scratches.Detail photos are here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/aleisner/sets/72157647131802355/$1400.00 Let me know if you'd like to see it.
